Washable Kid's Paint for the Budding Artist
68Can Toddlers Paint?
Toddlers love paint! It is bright and pretty. It goes on easily, making an immediate impact.
Toddlers love anything that will put a mark on something! This can be a problem for parents, but won't be, with the right tools.
Crayola's Washable All-In-One Paint for toddlers works well for parents and kids alike. They are easy to use and the bold bright colors appeal to little ones. They feature:
- No dipping or spilling.
- Unique brush heads.
- Cap less while the unique delivery system allows the paint to dry and be rejuvenated.
They wash off of every surface with out any trouble, so even if your little one is trouble, you can still let him paint.
Preschoolers love to expand their abilities! They are continually learning new things and experimenting with what they know.
Washable finger paint is perfect for preschoolers, because they love to feel and squish everything. They are also ready to begin experimenting with water colors. Finger Paint easily washes off of most surfaces.
Water colors are simple and fun, yet can make fantastic pictures, making them a favorite of all ages. While preschoolers love to dip their brushes in the paint, and spread it on their paper, older children delight in creating life like pictures. They enjoy using water colors on quality art paper, that allows more control over where the paint goes.
Acrylic: Washable, yet Permanent
Acrylic paints are also favored by older children, for their variety of colors and many uses.
Acrylic paints are water based, so they wash up easily, but dry permanently. They are perfect for painting pictures, ornaments and decorations. They dry quickly, so projects can be finished in a short amount of time.
Acrylic paint is not just for the armature artist. Many home decorating projects, stenciling and faux painting, are done in acrylic.
Art and craft supplies make the best gifts for youngsters. They fuel the imagination, while developing the body and mind. The variety is almost limitless. There are art supplies available for all ages, designed to work with the child's capabilities. Put together a gift basket, complete with paint, brushes, paper and art smock. Kids and parents alike will thank you.

Wow, I feel like a kid again! This is a smart selection of products.
Good article. If washable paint was around when I was little, mom probably would've gotten better resale value on the old house! Then again, I never did get beyond stick figures, so the constriction of my creative tendencies was no great loss. :)
Ivorwen, also beware of people giving your toddler(s) rubber stamps. I failed to notice right away some prints of pink penguins which got made on a white door. Oops. They'll come off eventually, I'm sure.
This is great idea since my 2 yr-old kid loves to write on anything - books, table surface, blackboard, chair, etc. using ballpen (he never liked pencil, he would throw it away when I give it to him).
Thanks for this hub.
Very nice hub!!! If only all of these products would have been created when I was a kid, I wouldn't have gotten into so much trouble for being an artist :P Good job, Ivorwen :)
Ivorwen,
PBS had a painting show a number of years ago that was a favorite at our house, and I remember being glad that there was someone who could teach my children things about art that I could never have taught them. I remember, also, one day when one of my daughters shook up her can of paint or thinner and paint, just as she had seen the painter do on TV. I do wish I had not gotten so uptight about things like that! It was only a little brown paint on the dining room wall, and my little kids grew up so fast.
Thanks for letting your kids enjoy themselves, explore, and learn.

Most kids love to paint. Washable paints and crayolas are essential if the kids are to really get into it. Good hub.
